Already over a long time UNSA is seen by schools and Universities, as an important and reliable partner in student placements. The foundation is mainly involved in helping students and sometimes even ex-students to get either a practical internship, final thesis project or help with obtaining work for a short or long duration. UNSA helps with the applicable visa, work- or study permit as well. This can be for students going from the Netherlands or Flanders to South Africa or the other way around.

In order to make use of UNSA's services, UNSA charges a small fee. This fee consists of 2 payments (see enrolment fee for details). The first fee makes it possible to get in touch with an employer, the second fee becomes payable when the contract / invitation is signed.

We are operating from Pretoria, South Africa where we have our head office.

Enrolment for an internship/final thesis placement around August/September is possible up till end of April and the following period for placement end of January it will be up till the middle of October. Do not send postal forms. All contacts are done via e-mail.

For the HBO students the typical internship/final thesis periods are from February to August or from August to February. The University student can deviate from this period. Especially when research is involved we have to follow the South Africa study year to make sure that supporting lecturers/researcher are available. When the University student wants to do a practical internship or a project oriented problem, he would be wise to follow the same pattern as the HBO student.  Other periods are available on request. But remember that companies prefer you to stay a minimum of 4 months with them. So shorter periods must be discussed.

We need a well developed CV, list of marks, motivational letter, copy of passport, letter from internship coordinator at school/university.
